About the course

This four-week live online course improves English communication for international nurses working in U.S. clinical settings. Each week you attend instructor-led Zoom classes with focused practice tasks, brief readings, and role-play activities that mirror real patient-care scenarios. The course emphasizes clear, patient-centered language, accurate nursing vocabulary, and pronunciation features that affect safety and understanding.

Assignments are short and workplace-focused: quick practice scripts, simulated patient dialogues, handoff templates, and brief reflection tasks to reinforce learning between sessions. Activities balance practical techniques with hands-on practice so you can apply new language skills immediately on the job. English at CEFR B2+ (upper-intermediate) or equivalent is recommended.

In class you receive targeted instructor feedback and practice with peers in realistic healthcare interactions. After completing the course you should speak more clearly with patients and colleagues, perform safer handoffs, and feel more confident clinical conversations.

  • Master American English Pronunciation - Refine your accent, improve clarity, and build the confidence to speak so patients and colleagues understand you better.
  • Expand Clinical Nursing Vocabulary - Learn and apply essential medical terminology and phrases to communicate effectively in real-world healthcare environments.
  • Practice with Real Case Studies & Role-Plays - Engage in interactive simulations that mirror patient interactions and team communication in U.S. hospitals and clinics.
  • Receive Personalized Instructor Feedback - Get one-on-one coaching to strengthen your communication skills and fast-track your professional growth.
