Kendall Nelson

Education: M.A., Georgia State University

Kendall joined the GTLI faculty in 2014, after getting her master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at Georgia State University. While at GSU, she taught in the Intensive English program and also travelled to Beijing China to teach English at Tsinghua University. Here at the GTLI, she enjoys working with students from around the world, teaches a wide variety of courses, and has also served as Academic Coordinator for the SABIC Scholarship Program. Kendall was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where she grew up with a love for the outdoors, art, and dance. Since leaving home, she has lived in 5 different states. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Spanish and secondary education from Coe College in Iowa, then she taught Spanish at elementary and middle schools in Arizona and Georgia. Kendall loves to travel, and is always looking for her next destination or planning her next big trip. Her other interests include cooking, staying fit, and exploring this vibrant city she now calls home.
